He is passionate about working with investors and founders to understand and amplify the value a company can bring to its customers and stakeholders. He enjoys rolling up his sleeves at the field level and taking that to a white board in a boardroom to relate all facets of the business back to key drivers. David has spent a considerable amount of his career finding and refining ways to go to the market whether that’s growing sales teams and channels, building strategic partnerships, or defining marketing strategies. This has led to David developing an obsession for the development of culture and its impact on organizational performance.
David brings with him over 20 years of professional experience in agriculture from his experience as a primary producer, education in Agronomy and MBA from the University of Saskatchewan to his time in various roles as an AG finance consultant, AG retail, manufacturing and distribution, insurance and lending. As one of the leading minds at the intersection of insurance, finance and agriculture, David’s experience at the crossroads of mud on his (canoe sized) boots on the prairies to boardrooms anywhere from Moose Jaw to Zurich brings a valuable perspective to the Tall Grass team.
